My name is Austen Ebenger and I have founded the Financial Literacy Initiative of Southwest Florida to financially educate privileged and underprivileged middle and high school students, as well as to help high school and college students learn life skills that are essential to their future.
UPDATE: The Financial Literacy Initiative is looking to expand into the Miami and Orlando areas. We hope to serve larger communities with our growing membership, as our affiliates have begun work in the greater Philadelphia and Seattle metro area. Please directly contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, be on the look out for our next publication, an info graphic that will be coming out soon.
Our definition of financial literacy combines our idea of essential financial knowledge for every level with our goal to educate the future voters of America about their financial status and well being. FLINT was founded on the basis of financial independence, hoping to help students from poorer socioeconomic backgrounds find their footing in a seemingly scary marketplace.
Consider bringing financial literacy to your community, and contact us for more information. We here at FLINT are always looking to expand and help more people in bigger circles around the world.
